What is “fine ceramics”・・・? Inorganic
nonmetal materials such as pottery, cement, and bricks, which are
high-temperature proceeded during production, are called ceramics. Ceramics, which especially have great
quality and high accuracy, are called fine ceramics. They are for industrial use.
With our strength of integrated manufacturing system

| Features
and applications |
The
melting point of Alumina is 2,050℃ and its hardness is next to diamond. Pure Alumina is an insulator. Since Alumina satisfies most of general
features of ceramics, such as corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance and
high-strength, and is cheap, it is widely used as a representative ceramics. |
Zirconia
has high-strength and toughness at room temperature and its melting point is
over 2,500℃. Since this material has excellent
abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, bending strength and surface smoothness,
its application is expanding such as sliding parts. |
In
addition to standard features of ceramics, Silicon Nitride has excellent
thermal shock resistance, and maintains its strength at high temperature. This material is suitable for the parts of
various engines and gas turbines, and its applications are diversifying. |
Silicon
Carbide maintains its strength at high temperature, 1,400℃. This material has electrical conductivity and metal-like thermal
conductivity. Due to its excellent
corrosion resistance of all fine ceramics, Silicon Carbide is used for
mechanical seals and pump parts. |
